Create a Piece for Peace

You are invited to participate in Pieces for Peace, a CITYarts project using the creative process to build bridges of cultural understanding between American youth and their peers from around the world. To date, we have received over 6,000 artworks from 73 countries from over 200 schools and organizations across 6 continents. These artworks are then included in our global online exhibition of Pieces for Peace. Selected works will be displayed in our Pieces for Peace Traveling Exhibition which travels around the world. All Pieces for Peace artworks have inspired the creation of our mosaic “Peace Walls” located at five different locations around the world, with more being planned.

“What does peace look like to you?”

CITYarts Pieces for Peace workshops aim to encourage youth to think and explore what peace looks like to them. The workshops lead students through conversations of peace. We then have each student express their ideas of peace within a 6×6 square. The students work will then be scanned by CITYarts to be included in our global online exhibition of works.
