Annual Benefit 2010

CITYarts Benefit

CITYarts being a part of the benefit committee for this year’s “Making a Difference Through the Arts” benefit, auction, and award ceremony, celebrated its 42nd Anniversary held on Wednesday, April 21 at the Ana Tzarev Gallery on 57th Street.

This was a magnificent event that celebrated CITYarts’ 42 years of impacting lives and transforming communities through the creation of public murals, sculptures, and mosaics. We also took this opportunity to raise awareness of the issues of world peace and climate change by highlighting our Young Minds Build Bridges program, specifically our latest initiative to bring art workshops to New York City public schools where arts funding has been drastically cut.

Here are just a few points we would like you to know about the event:

  • We usually have about 400 guests from all walks of life – business executives, philanthropists, artists, collectors, ambassadors, and high-level celebrities – who attend the benefit, awards ceremony, art auction, and buffet dinner.
  • Previous event sponsors included Agnes Gund, Ambassador Felix Rohatyn, and Sheldon Adelson.
  • Significant press was being invited to the event.
