Renée Monrose is a New York City artist and fine art photographer. She has shown her work in New York, Paris, San Francisco, Chicago and New Orleans.

A longstanding interest theology led her to Union Theological Seminary where she earned an M.Div in both Psychology and Religion and Biblical Studies.

From 2012-2020, Renée volunteered as rape crisis advocate at Bellevue Hospital. She is a community activist against gentrification and displacement.

Renée is part of the Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies Conference at Columbia University and has been a member of the HDHS Global Education Team in since 2017.

She was born and grew up in New Orleans.
